Field Application Engineer (FAE)

 

 

The candidate will provide OEM technical/engineering support and be the engineering contact at designated customer account(s). Position requires technical presentations, product demonstrations, benchmarking, working with customers on board-level design including hands-on troubleshooting of hardware and software. If you enjoy working with customers and have a passion for solving technical problems, this position is for you. Position requires extended working hours.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • On-site qualification, configuration, and verification
  • Able to initiate, drive, and close designs
  • Interface with hardware & software departments, and customers
  • Able to deliver technical sales presentations and customers demos
  • Oversees all phases of product qualification and problem report tracking  
  • Keep up with the latest in technology and developments of products
  • Create or modify data-sheets
  • Understand product specifications, performance and reliability under various test conditions
  • Communicate and help customers with their product applications issues
     

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electric Engineering plus 3 years related field experience
  • Good inter-personal communication skills, people skills and pleasant personality
  • Able to speak and write English and Mandarin
  • Possess good troubleshooting, software , and firmware skills
  • Semiconductor  and circuits design experience
  • Familiar with various O/S platforms and use of analyzers
  • Hands-on testing and compatibility required
  • Should have good presentation skills and have the ability to perform training with OEM 3rd party resellers
  • Good project management and documentation skills
  • Progressive, responsible, organized, energetic and hard working

ASIC Design Engineer

 

Description of duties: 

Design, develop state-of-the-art solid state/optical storage controller and video/audio processing chips for consumer market; analyze data to determine feasibility of product proposal; analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications; evaluate engineering test results for possible application to development of state-of-the-art storage controller and video/audio processing chips.  

Requirements:

BS (or foreign degree equiv.) in EE or related plus 2 years experience.

Senior ASIC Design Engineer

Responsible for the high performance chip design, simulation, and debugging for Storage Channel to Adapters. The candidate will work with software engineers to define the chip specifications and implement it.

Requirements:

  • Define the architecture of new product

  • Verilog RTL design and coding

  • Synthesis, simulation and verifications designs

  • ASIC test and debugging


Qualifications:

  • Requires a BSEE (MS preferred) or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years hands-on logic design experience on the Mass Storage Interface, such as P1394/ATA/ATAPI

  • Familiar with Verilog RTL design

  • Familiar with Verilog simulation and synthesis tools from Candence, Synopsys, and or Viewlogic for logic design and verification

  • Experience on boards and systems debugging

  • Ability to solve problems at the chip and board level

  • Experience with test development and debug strategies

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, a team player

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of PC and Mac Platforms and respective Windows OS and Mac OS

  • Good time management to be able to work on several components at once

Senior Analog IC Design Engineer

Responsible for the high performance chip design, simulation and debugging for storage controllers. The candidate will work with logic design engineers and circuit layout engineers to define the chip architecture and implement it.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the architecture of new product.
  • Analog circuit design
  • Circuit simulation and verification
  • Chip test and debugging

Qualifications:

  • Requires a BSEE (MS or PHD preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years hands-on mixed signal experience on SATA II/P1394/USB2.0/ultra SCSI products
  • Experience with high speed transceiver and PLL circuit design
  • Familiar with HSPICE simulation and cable modeling
  • Ability to solve problems at the chip and board level
  • Experience with test development and debug strategies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, a team player
