FireWire to peripherals
The INIC-1420 is a link controller to provide the
IEEE 1394 FireWire interface to UDMA 66 and ATAPI
peripheral designs. It enables data rates of up
to 40 Mbytes/s.
Serial Bus Protocol-2-compliant firmware is
stored in an external flash ROM, independent of
the host operating system. The part is packaged
in a 100-pin LQFP. ($9 ea/large qty--available
now.)
