Macintosh OS 10.2.x/10.3.x/10.4.x/10.5.x support is built into the Macintosh BIOS
on the SATA board, so there are no drivers for you to install. There are 2 different ASIC's used on our SATA cards. The INIC-1623T and the INIC-1623TA2, and they use different drivers. Please check the ASIC model number on your card before you download any drivers. Windows XP/2003 drivers 32bit for the INIC1622TA2 and INIC1623TA2 chipsets. Linux Drivers for INIC-162X controllers End of Life Products The following products have been discontinued and are no longer sold. We offer these drivers as the last support developed for these products. Please note that any discontinued products may not work under new operating systems developed after the product was discontinued such as WinME or Win2000 or WinXP.
For adapters with the INIC-940 and INIC-950 chipsets use the following drivers. This includes the Initio adapters INI-9090U, INI-9100A, INI-9100U/UW, INI-9200U/UW, INI-9400U/UW and INI-9520U/UW. For WinME, Win2000 and WinXP the correct drivers are embedded on the WinME, Win2000 and WinXP CD and will be installed automatically for you during installation. For DOS, Win3.xx, Win95/98/98SE, WinNT, Netware and OS/2 Win2000/WinXP/Server 2003 (new 4-29-03) resolves Win2000 Service Pack 3 issues WnASPI32 for Win NT/Win2000/WinXP (new 1-25-02) Use this ONLY if your software application has complained that you do NOT have an ASPI layer installed. Linux Drivers: Our source code has been included with the kernel source since kernel 2.0.32, however starting at kernel 2.6 support has been dropped. For kernels 2.0.32 through 2.4.x you will find our support in the source directory on the CD. Below we have put together some packages to make installation a little easier for some distributions. However if you have a linux system up and running and just want to add support for an Initio adapter you can use the source code and compile it into your kernel. Corrects slow boot after installing Win2000 Service Pack 3. To install the A100U2W under RedHat 7.1 you need to use "linux noprobe" at the RH7.1 installation prompt, then select the correct driver from the list. Users Please Note: How To Update the Firmware Mac SCSI Adapters
Sometimes after you update the firmware, the system will refuse to boot up correctly. If you own an old world machine (7500 to Beige G3) you will want to zap the PRAM to correct this. Click here to find out how! If you own a Blue & White G3 or G4 you will want to boot into Open Firmware and reset the hardware configuration. Instructions here! The Beige G3 is NOT supported under OS X so we do NOT support this configuration with our adapters. We are receiving many reports that the machine will not boot once the firmware is installed. Hardware compatibility issues, Installing on a PowerBook G3, an original Power Macintosh G3, or an iMac --- If you install Mac OS 10 on a PowerBook G3 Series computer that does not have USB, an original Power Macintosh G3 (Beige), or a Rev. A, Rev. B, Rev. C, or Rev. D iMac, and the hard disk is larger than 8 GB with more than one partition, be sure to select a destination partition for Mac OS 10 that is completely within the first 8 GB of the disk.~~~ OS 10.xx drivers are now available for all three of our adapters. They are all in one file so when you unStuff the file just go in the folder you need. These new versions of the firmware support the new 10.2 release of Mac OS and previous versions down to 8.1. In order for you to run OS 10 and our adapters you MUST be running one of the approved machines. You can view the approved list HERE. If you are running OS 9 with one of these cards you will have to flash the firmware on the card so it will work under OS 9. You can download the OS 9 firmware here - for revision F models only!There are 2 versions of the Miles adapter, a revision E and revision F. There is no OS X support for the revision E boards. To find out if you have a revision E board you must pull the card out and look at the back of it, in the lower left hand corner you will find the revision letter. You must flash the firmware from OS 9.xx. Please contact Tech Support if you have any trouble with this update.

Tiger Firmware BackFlash your MilesU2W, this will restore your firmware to the original version. Use this if you have trouble with the OS 10 firmware OR if you just want to go back to firmware v1.05. This must be run from OS 9.xx, it will not work under OS 10.
