UPDATING YOUR INITIO BIOS
You may need to update your Initio BIOS if:

• Initio Technical Support recommends that you update the BIOS in order to fix a problem that you have encountered
• Your computer system uses a motherboard that requires a different Initio BIOS.
• If Initio adds new features to the BIOS

How Do I Update the Initio BIOS?
Initio has created an automatic FlashBIOS update program which you can download (see below).
Follow these steps to update the Initio BIOS:

1. Power down your computer
2. Insert the card into a PCI slot in your computer
3. Power up your computer and boot to the DOS prompt
4. At the DOS prompt, type the following:
   LOADBIOS BIOS_FILE.BIN

These files are for boards that have Flash BIOS. All other boards have factory preprogrammed EPROMS.
